Nuclear Design Project Leader for Almaraz II Nuclear Power Plant (Spain) and Doel 3 and Tihange 3 Nuclear Power Plants (Belgium).Nuclear Core Design Engineer in Spanish PWR projects (ANAV-CNAT) and international ones (EDF - Tractebel).Main activities:-Nuclear fuel management and its optimization. Neutronic calculations.-Loading Pattern design, verification and licence for Nuclear Power Plants.-Nuclear Calculations to the Reload Safety Analysis verification.-Cycle management and surveillance of the operation cycle.-Cycle studies and equilibrium cycles to facilitate the long time fuel core management strategy. Viability studies.-Technical support to the thermal- hydraulic and mechanical areas and nuclear data transmission.-Preparation of Nuclear Engineering Documents (calculations, descriptions, Nuclear Design Report and proposals).Proficient in the use of the Westinghouse methodology and codes (APA methodology, ANC, Apollo, Venus...).Participation in seminars and in the creation of audio-visual material to disseminate Nuclear Energy knowledge and awareness.

Radioactive sources measurements and laboratory tests. Preparation of set-ups for the characterization and maintenance of different types of neutron and gamma radiation detectors. Data analysis.Monte Carlo simulation of the radiation detectors.Preparation of proposals and documentation.

Development and application of a new Characterization Methodology for special radioactive waste in order to determine its acceptance criteria. Using MCNP code for the modelisation of the core elements for its analysis and classification. Activity calculations with MCNP, Origen and Microshield.
