About Sofia Jorge

With over 14 years of experience in the fashion design industry, I have transitioned my creative skills into the realm of UX/UI design. My background taught me the vital significance of design and understanding user needs. For the past two years, I've been applying everything I've learned in UX/UI to my work, bridging the gap between client needs and brand resources. I'm dedicated to crafting user-centered digital experiences that balance aesthetics and functionality. During the past year, I collaborated with the team of developers and successfully enhanced the entire shopping experience on the e-commerce platform. This effort led to a 50% increase in sales. My aim is to land a junior UX/UI role where I can harness the skills I've cultivated over my 14 years in the fashion and technology world.

I led a team of 5 people with the goal of developing the tops and sweaters line, increasing sales, and meeting our customers' needs. To achieve this, we began by researching fashion products and considering the brand's guidelines and our target audience, which guided our collection design. I own the end-to-end design cycle: from ideation of the product patterns and specifications until the delivery of the sketches. We presented our designs to the entire sales team for a thorough review to ensure we were on the right track. After the presentation, the collection was approved, and my team and I took charge of the development and monitoring of the entire line for both men and women. In this role, I provided overall guidance to the team and closely monitored deadlines. I was selected to spearhead the launch of Levi's Kids in Argentina. This marked the first time that Levi's Argentina took on the challenge of developing products for children. It was a significant personal challenge that greatly motivated me. Alongside the country manager, we traveled to New York to receive the necessary guidelines from Levi's headquarters, ensuring that the project adhered to the brand's established standards. We conducted an extensive analysis of the national children's market to understand the type of products that a brand like Levi's should offer. Based on this information, I designed the complete children's collection, leading a team that supported me in product development and monitoring. Created and iterated sketches in Adobe Illustrator, wrote technical documentation. We opened our first standalone store in Shopping Unicenter, one of the largest and most important shopping centers in Argentina. We successfully adhered to the established timeline, ensuring the complete collection arrived on time. In this role, I honed skills in organization, time management, setting priorities, creative problem-solving, and team leadership.
