I lead expansion and marketing for the Biofabrication Community of Science (BCoS), providing strategic communications support for Edmonds Scientific (ESC) and VA Ventures within the Department of Veterans Health Affairs (VHA). With a focus in 3D printed stem cells, vascularized bone, tissue, nerves, and organs, I support ESC in the development of a national biofabrication and tissue engineering capability. Partnered with Microsoft, I lead and supported various research projects optimizing DNA computing and data storage at UW's Molecular Information Systems Lab (MISL). I have extensive experience in sample prep and next generation sequencing - analyzing data, performing PCR quantifications, purifications, and enrichments through the process of ligating and sequencing synthetic DNA via iSeq and NanoPore. I conducted and coordinated sequencing across project teams within MISL. I lead a liquid handler project for Opentron-automated ligation. I directed the successful automation of bead wash protocols and NGS sample prep. I am proficient in Python and experienced in data visualization using matplotlib, Numpy, pyplot, and pandas. I fulfilled my CRISPR obsession in a small-team project for Content-based Similarity Searching in Large-scale DNA Data Storage Systems using the Cas9 complex. With a goal to increase efficiency of DNA data retrieval, we molecularly replicated traditional reverse image searching to allow for selective sequencing of DNA image databases. I am highly proficient in designing experiments, sequencing with nanopore to observe Cas cut rates, and trouble-shooting off-target activity to improve oligo selection within our queries. Our poster was presented at the DNA29 (2023) in Japan. Our paper is currently under publication review with Nature (2024). This work informed and inspired my passions for gene editing, interdisciplinary science communications, and the value of creativity within STEM.

I excel ideating and executing full funnel social media campaigns, product design/launch, and media partnerships for my clients.
