As a research assistant to Dr. Anna Wang Roe and Dr. Robert M. Friedman:- Assisted in development and analysis of projects regarding the hypothesized development of cortical magnification in foveal visual cortex of infant rhesus macaque monkeys. - Revised and developed MATLAB programs for analysis of images of developing primate visual cortex, which were previously gathered by the lab group using intrinsic signal optical imaging technology. - Presented lab findings at the NeuroFutures conference in July 2019 and at the ONPRC Summer Research Symposium in August 2019. Funded by the ONPRC Summer Undergraduate Fellowship and SCU REAL Grant.

As a SCCAP Program Coordinator, I organized, led, and coordinated volunteers for a dedicated weekly art group at the The LGBTQ Youth Space, a center in San Jose providing support groups, empowerment, and counseling and health resources to LGBTQ+ youth and allies ages 13-25. On the SCU campus, I also participated in and staffed events including Immigration Week, Allyship Week, and a Housing Security lecture and learned about a variety of social justice issues impacting SCU students and the Santa Clara/San Jose community.
