Hello! I am a junior majoring in Media & Cinema Studies with minors in Business and Critical Film Production at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am currently a Mark L. Brant Fellow Intern for the College of Media at the University of Illinois, where I direct and produce my own series entitled, "Our Fellow Media Students," for the College of Media Instagram. Additionally, I am currently working on the production of the University of Illinois' Sights and Sounds Welcome Video, which is shown to all of the incoming freshman at the beginning of each school year in August. On the side, I also create short films of my own, giving me experience with screenwriting, producing, directing, and editing on Adobe Premiere Pro.In the Fall of 2023, I was a teaching assistant at the University of Illinois for a Media & Cinema Studies course called, "Smartphone Cinema." Through this role, I watched and offered suggestions to students’ film assignments created in the course. I have also completed a research project during the spring of 2023, where I studied social media influencers and how they relate to Brooke Erin Duffy's novel entitled, "(Not) Getting Paid to Do What You Love: Gender, Social Media, and Aspirational Work."
