I have had the great pleasure to teach children who have been diagnosed with Autism. This role has by no means been easy but with time and patience I have become both the children's friend and support.Throughout this role I have been responsible for:- Setting up of class programs- Creation of schedules- Use of visual supports- Analysis of assessment data- Support of student engagement- Writing of weekly reports

I worked with students from 4-18 years old, which gave me all the necessary basics, laying the foundations for my role as an educator. This included working within a class room, assisting the teacher with daily activities and learning programs. It also included helping the students out in the community.

Whilst working at Sunshine, my role included working with people living with high-level disabilities and challenging behaviours both within the program and out in the community.As a caseworker, I was responsible for coordinating services to meet each individual's needs.
