Provided women's health care to individuals ages 13 and older and primary care to adults ages 18 and older in an outpatient setting. Provided gynecological care and family planning, including but not limited to insertion and removal of long-acting reversible contraceptives. Conducted annual physical exams and well woman exams, oversaw primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of health conditions for patients. Also managed patients with multiple, co-occurring conditions, conducted urgent care visits, performed minor procedures, and provided referrals to specialists when warranted. Collaborated with a clinic staff consisting of medical assistants and physicians.

Completed a year-long residency at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center for new graduate nurse practitioners with an adult-gerontology primary care specialty. Residency entailed completing 6-week rotations amongst different units and departments within the VA, attending didactic training (online and in-person), attending professional conferences, presenting case studies, completing bi-weekly journal entries, attending medical grand rounds, volunteering in the DC community, and completing a quality improvement project.

Has cared for children of over 20 families since 2006 on an as-needed or a part-time basis. Has provided bathing, feeding, emotional support, fun and engaging activities, driving/transportation, light cooking and cleaning, and more for children ages 3 months to 15 years old. Has cared for 5 children with Type I Diabetes, as well as for children with other additional health or developmental needs.

Provided aesthetic services to patients including but not limited to laser hair removal, neurotoxin injections, skin-tightening procedures, and CoolSculpting. Formulated a personalized treatment plan for each customer. Completed additional training on services, sales, and retail. Attended monthly staff meetings. Collaborated with nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, aestheticians, medical assistants, and care coordinators to provide safe, luxury treatments.

Served as back office supervisor at Family Planning Associates (FPA) Women's Health at multiple locations. Assigned surgical and emergency management roles, maintained and monitored stock of supplies and medication, and prepared clinic for health inspection and accreditation. Provided supervision and care for patients in the post-anesthesia recovery unit. Counseled patients on birth control, reproductive health, and personal safety. Collaborated with medical assistants, medical doctors, licensed vocational nurses, and certified registered nurse anesthetists to provide safe and sensitive care for patients. Administered moderate sedation during procedures.

Participated in a new graduate residency program. As part of a cohort, rotated on three units: Medical/Surgical, Cardiac PCU, and Medical Surgical/Telemetry/Oncology PCU. Each rotation had a duration of one month. During shifts, conducted assessments on patients, administered medications, applied the nursing process to each patient’s care, emotionally and socially supported patients and families, and collaborated with Certified Nursing Assistants, Physicians, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Case Managers, and other team members to provide exceptional, holistic, and compassionate care to every patients, every encounter, every time. Attended training sessions for various aspects of patient care such as communication with team members, body mechanics, infection control, patient privacy, and customer service.

Served as a resident assistant for UCLA Residential Life at the residence halls on campus. Committed to uphold the UCLA mission and support residents in regards to their safety, personal growth, academic success, and overall wellbeing. Responsibilities included programming events that will serve residents' needs and align with the UCLA mission, doing "duty" three times per week, attending weekly meetings with the Residential Life team, and knowing how to respond to situations of safety hazards, suicide, and sexual assault.

Collaborated with fellow writers, designers, editors, and health professionals in to write health- and wellness-related articles. Attended weekly meetings as well as distributed magazines, did publicity for the magazine, and represented the magazine at UCLA events. Published 10 articles in total (see below) and assisted with the magazine's website.
