CurrentIn my master's dissertation, I am developing work in photodynamic therapy and cancer stem cells applied to endometrial cancer, together with the group I am a member of. Thus, the development of this project is allowing me to develop my skills in the laboratory, as well as in teamwork, preparing me for the world of work. Throughout this year, I improved and learned several laboratory techniques, such as cell culture, MTT, flow cytometry, western blot, cell invasion and migration, spheres forming (cancer stem cells) as well as all the steps associated with these procedures. In addition to the in vitro techniques, combining the theory acquired in the first year of my master's degree, I could do and follow the animal experimentation elaborated in my thesis project. So, regarding animal maintenance, I am responsible for monitoring the animals, their handling and for monitoring the tumour volume. On the other hand, I follow the techniques associated with the inoculation of tumour cells in animals, either through subcutaneous injection or through surgery.
