I am an Associate Software Engineer at Optum, a UnitedHealth Group company. I graduated from Rutgers University - New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Linguistics. For as long as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed writing code; from editing the HTML for my Neopets profile page to updating my Tumblr blog theme. In my senior year of high school, I joined Girls Who Code as a Summer Immersion Program participant, where I learned the foundations of Computer Science. This jump-started my interest in the field and led me to learn more about programming languages, data structures, and algorithms at school. As an avid language learner, I also majored in Linguistics, focusing on its overlap with Computer Science.I have experience in both front-end and back-end development through my on-campus work and internships at Colgate-Palmolive and Optum. I hope to become a Full Stack Developer and be able to incorporate everything I’ve learned and enjoy doing into my work. I also take interest in accessibility and wish to create products that are accessible to all types of people with all types of backgrounds.
