I served as a venue representative to create the layout, organize event flow, and coordinate logistics for private events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, social celebrations, and community-building projects from the beginning phases of concept development to the day of the event. I met with clients to identify individual needs and create customer-enhancing experiences, led walkthroughs on the event premises, and facilitated communication between the clients, the staff, third-party contributors, and vendors. I also gained experience as a day-of host and assisted in the set-up and break down of the event materials, such as decorations, venue rentals, and additional materials.

I am so thankful to have been overseeing The Bridge over the last year. As I step back and serve as the Senior Advisor to answer any questions of help guide our new executive board, I have the upmost confidence that our new Editors-In-Chief will do a fantastic job with supporting our mission and helping our community prosper!

After serving as the co-head of editing for a semester, I became Editor In Chief of The Bridge at the end of my second year at UNC-CH. Since then, I have successfully managed six teams of 60+ staff members to create, edit, and publish original content. I also engage in outreach efforts with other student organizations to host virtual community building events and lead both cross-campus and internal events. Since the start of my tenure, I have worked members closely with our members to develop social media campaigns, such as Wellness Wednesdays and our LGBTQ+ Pride series, and create virtual community building events, such as the immigrant panel discussion, the Beyond the Ballot activism event, an arepa cook-along, mental health workshops, and Spanish conversation events.

I became the co-head of The Bridge's editing team after a semester of being a general editor. During this role, I divided editors into two teams and was specifically uncharged with leading the editors on Team 1. I also paired editors with content creators and oversaw team meetings. As co-head, I continued to edit my own group of four content creators on a bi-weekly schedule and hosted my first organization collaboration workshop event.

Dive In Chapel Hill is a UNC-CH student volunteer organization that offers free swimming lessons and English tutoring sessions to Hispanic communities in the Chapel Hill area. My role in the organization is to oversee the tutors, lesson planning and lead class sessions for parents who would like to fortify their English grammar and communication skills.

I had the pleasure of working with Sephora's in-house PR team and their partner agency to develop press releases, create external communications, and coordinate executive speaking engagements. I also gained experience placing product shipment orders through online portals for donation requests, and curated lists of product assortment to feature in newsletters, gift baskets, and donation requests. Additionally, I assisted in organizing and updating internal files within the company’s main database.

I worked alongside my mentor to meet with partnering company representatives and talent to organize event details, such as run-of-shows, event format, participant gifts, and client needs. I also engaged with the marketing, web development, and public relations teams to ensure proper communication of deliverables and consumer-facing information. I gained experience with the planning and development of in-person and virtual installations in relation to brand campaigns and long-standing company activations.
