Responsibilities included handling a multiline phone system, most of which included routing messages to the proper affiliates such as clerk of courts Screening clients with intake forms - Setting appointments/meetings with the prosecutor and state attorneys office regarding clients and casesPaperwork was and is an absolute must in the field of Law so, not only was it a requirement that files be stored on paper, but we also used a program through Abacus Law that entered all client information digitally.I prepared documents/files for docket soundings in a timely manner. Assisted the lawyer for up coming court trials by reviewing cases/notes and discovery. I also assisted by watching dvd's marking possible discrepancies surrounding the case.I was also responsible for picking up police reports, filing cases with the clerks office, having waivers signed by clients that had to be met by date of court appearances. We also did direct mail marketing by checking Monroe County Sheriffs website for arrests and sending out mailings to potential clients.
