I have been part of research for about 4 years now, and have found a strong passion for the research process. My primary passions lie within mental health treatment and mental health research. I worked as a Research Assistant in Dr. James Cavanagh's Cognitive Rhythms and Computations Lab for 2 years. I worked primarily with equipment set up for EEG analyses, program administration for patient tasks, and data entry. While under Dr. Cavanagh's mentorship I completed a senior honors thesis on the association of Reward Sensitivity, Reaction Times, and Anxiety Symptomatology. The results did not disprove the null hypothesis, however, it has added to the field of knowledge. I have presented these results at 2 conferences in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2023. I currently work as a Patient Recruiter Specialist, using psychological knowledge learned in my undergraduate degree to interview and assess patient potential for an array of trials in many areas of mental health and general health. My passion for research has helped and pushed me in my career, and I hope to continue to grow the field of knowledge and help make mental health knowledge, assessment, and care more accessible.
