TWC's Department of Workforce Program Policy, housed within the Workforce Development Division, supports TWC's mission of promoting and supporting a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity through program planning and policy development for critical workforce programs.As the Workforce Program Policy intern, I researched and analyzed state and federal laws and regulations; determined the impact that certain factors have on program operations; actively participated in programmatic planning efforts; and developed specialized research projects.

The Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS) program at the University of Texas at Austin has a global, comparative focus with a particular strength in the Americas. NAIS fosters and supports teaching and intellectual engagements around the languages, cultures, knowledges, histories, and current political struggles of indigenous peoples.As administrative assistant to the Program Director, I oversee and manage the program budget and expenses; organize program events, reserve rooms, and contract caterers; and update the program website and social media.

Workers Defense Project (WDP) is a membership-based organization that empowers low-income workers to achieve fair employment through education, direct services, organizing and strategic partnerships.As the Legal Manager, I managed the legal department; oversaw cases of workplace abuse; organized Austin's underserved working and Latinx community; and recruited and trained legal interns.

Vote Smart is a non-partisan non-profit that provides free and factual information on candidates and elected officials in an effort to engage citizens politically and civically. As a Legislative Research Associate and Internship Coordinator, I analyzed state and national legislation to craft accurate, concise, nonpartisan summaries; kept politicians accountable for their voting records on controversial bills; coordinated the Austin Internship Program; and recruited and supervised 10-20 interns each academic semester.
