I am a people leader with skills in managing science staff working with the area of agriculture. I currently lead over 150 researchers whose focus is on biosecurity and cropprotection. The teams develop innovative and sustainable solutions for pestand pathogen challenges. They work to detect and eliminate insect pests andplant diseases at the border, and work with growers and marketers toeffectively manage pests and diseases present in the environment. Ourteams create and test new agroecological methods of control and developintegrated pest management solutions.I completed her MSc in Quantitative Ecology at Swedish University ofAgricultural Sciences, and PhD in Ecology – Biological Control from LincolnUniversity, New Zealand. I have global experience in conservationbiological control and the effects of habitat manipulation on ecosystemservices, species abundance and multi trophic level interactions. My work looksto resolve pest issues across a range of crops, using habitat manipulationmethods within integrated pest management and biological control.
