As a student athletic training assistant at the UConn Fieldhouse, I play a crucial role in maintaining a training environment. My responsibilities include thorough upkeep, ranging from cleaning and organizing to preparing supplies and readying recovery machines for athletes. This hands on role allows me to immerse myself in the field of athletic training, and gain experience. This position allows me the opportunity to increase my marketing ability and creativity by helping create informative flyers and workout plans.

I offer excellent customer service, and make sure customers are satisfied. I make sure to make smoothie preps and fruit preps throughout my shift to keep up with stock. I comply with health regulations by thoroughly cleaning and washing dishes during and after shift.

During my time I was able to hone my customer service skills along with time management. I provided customer assistance in any scenario I was needed. I used my time here to make connections and build relationships. In addition, I also cleaned and sanitized surfaces to optimize food, safety and comply with health department regulations.

I maintained cash accuracy and worked with supervisor to correct deficiencies. I arranged displays and merchandise racks to maintain store appearance as well as providing on the job training.
