Clinical Research Coordinator
In this position, I work on research concerning HPV in adolescent girls and young women in New York City. I learned to be a competent, strong, and trustworthy leader, how to communicate and collaborate not only with those I was managing but with other leaders, and how to manage multiple schedules at once.
Health Educator
In this role, I provided health education at public high schools in New York City. I facilitated weekly workshops on topics such as mental health, sexual health, substance use, and accessing health resources. Working with other health educators, I acted as a resource, educator, and confidant to high school students.As a health educator, I fostered skills such as teamwork, organization, public speaking, and problem solving.
