Hi! My name is Sofia Ream, I'm a highly driven second-year student at Case Western Reserve University studying political science and medical anthropology on the pre-law track. I am dedicated to creating equitable access to healthcare education across socioeconomic backgrounds. Using my experience in public affairs journalism I seek to bring awareness to the plights faced by those not endowed with comprehensive healthcare resources, and through my research skillset I seek solutions to these disparities.I have an extensive research background in eco-design for cities and redlining and neighborhood displacement of African American communities in the twentieth-century USA. I am always seeking opportunities to improve my knowledge of social and political causes through research and internship/externship opportunities. I am pursuing an additional major in Contemporary Dance at CWRU and have performed numerous works with the CWRU Department of Dance. I have taught ballet, jazz, and contemporary and created choreography at The Change Dance in Urbandale, Iowa for 2 years.Contact: swr35@case.edu
