In 2018, I moved to the United States from Italy and joined NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in the role of Director of Pharmacy. In this leadership role, I have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and strategy development of the medication management department.As the leader of the medication management team, I successfully supervise and mentor team members, including pharmacists and medication management assistants, to ensure that the medication management process is operating efficiently. I am committed to the optimization of the medication supply chain to ensure timely supply of medications and inventory management in line with the needs of the hospital.Quality control is one of my main focuses and I am actively involved in the oversight of medication quality and compliance monitoring of medication therapy to ensure that it is safe and effective.In my role as Director of Pharmacy, I also lead the development and updating of medication management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. At the same time, I worked closely with other healthcare teams and departments in the hospital to ensure that medication management was coordinated with other healthcare services in the hospital.My work experience and leadership skills have made me passionate about the field of medication management and contributing to the health and well-being of patients.
