FACT #1: HOMEOWNERSHIP CREATES GENERATIONAL WEALTH.This powerful truth has fueled my mission for over 17 years:⫸ Teaching the value of homeownership⫸ Educating families about how to create generational wealthIn 2004, I established the nonprofit, Housing Consultants Group (HCG), centered on these goals. Through HCG, a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agency, we’ve impacted countless lives and empowered families to build financial literacy and economic sustainability. This will transform the community for generations to come.My team has had the honor of working with stakeholders to assist renters on their path to homeownership, ensure first time home buyers receive upwards of $10,000 in down payment assistance, and transform houses into places of comfort and love. As the Executive Director, I’ve diversified the strategy and funding streams of HCG. The agency now serves a unique role as a Nonprofit Realtor, partnering with Community Housing Solutions and local government to build and modernize homes in potentially blighted areas. This pays dividends. HCG reinvests fees from property sales into the core mission of the organization, catalyzing community impact. FACT #2: NONPROFITS CHANGE LIVES.Along the way, I’ve learned how to build nonprofits that make a difference: ⫸ Collaborating with community stakeholders ⫸ Inspiring high-performing teams to drive change⫸ Creating organizations that lastI’m passionate about sharing these leadership insights with you as a Nonprofit Consultant.
