Sofia Sheikh is the Executive Director of the Asian Pacific American Heritage Association (APAHA). Her professional journey started in financial services, and she has experience in various charity and voluntary roles before transitioning to nonprofit support. As a leader, Sofia's style is rooted in the philosophy of community service and diversity, and she has demonstrated success in leading boards and people through change while keeping the organization's mission at the forefront.Besides her role at APAHA, Sofia is actively involved in the Lone Star Exchange Board, serving as President, holds a position as Fort Bend County LID 11 Director, and currently serves on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee District 5. Sofia's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in English Literature with a minor in History and Geography from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. Being a first-generation Pakistani American, Sofia understands the importance of cultural identity and brings diverse perspectives to her leadership role. She lives with her husband, Nadeem, in Sugar Land, and they are proud parents of three children.
