I am a Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Greenwich, where I am also the Director of the Social Psychology Laboratory. I obtained my BSc in Psychology from the University of Crete, Greece and then a PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK. I joined the University of Greenwich as Senior Lecturer in 2011. Prior to this, I was a post-doctoral researcher and then a Lecturer at the University of Kent. I teach social psychology, social cognition, and cross-cultural psychology.I conduct basic and applied research, aiming to understand complex intergroup dynamics, prejudice, and prejudice-reduction. I have co-authored a monograph and an edited volume on intergroup contact and prejudice; have published various academic articles; and have received research funding from several national and international funding bodies.
