The work focused on creating and updating documentation for customers within telecom, in cooperation with several cross-functional teams consisting of system managers, developers, testers, etc. The more specific telecom area that I wrote documentation for is quite technology-heavy in terms of the technical writing. Therefore I worked a lot with reading and analyzing technical specifications concerning telecom standards and the like. The assignment included doing research about different technical solutions, and communication with different stakeholders to be able to find the best solutions for the documentation.

For my second internship (part of my education) I worked on a start-up project at Alten in which the focus was to create a website and a community platform. I mainly worked with frontend development for the website, using React. In the development team we worked according to Scrum, meaning we had daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings every week, etc. Through the internship I also got to work a bit with Java and got more familiar with using document databases such as Mongo DB.

I worked as part of the regular development team at NA-KD, meaning I worked with assigned tasks concerning the website (tasks where communicated and documented through issue tracking system Jira). I worked both with C# (for the system's backend) and Javascript/React (for the frontend) during this internship. Since the website is built on Episerver I also worked a bit with that platform.

I supported employees in their use of PCs (both stationery and laptops), Mac computers, network printers, mobile phones (android and iphone), MS Office, etc. I administrated users' access to mail boxes, file servers, etc. through Exchange administrative center and Active Directory. The job included a great deal of communication with customers, both in person, through phone and email. As part of the troubleshooting process I also frequently assisted users through remote desktop.

Supported employees and students in the use of these systems, as well as in their use of MS Office, access to file servers and mailboxes in Exchange, etc. Also assisted users with access to a wide spectrum of applications according to licenses agreements. I worked as a consultant for Wise IT at PengVin Affärssystem AB, a company that develops and supports the ERP system PengVin. Most of PengVin's customers are companies within the building and hardware retail industry. In my role as ERP support consultant I assisted users of the system within the customers' organizations both through telephone and email. The cases that I handled were highly variable: I helped customers adjust system parameters to make different modules in the system function according to their specific business needs, I debugged errors in the system concerning for example the creation and sending of invoice files (XML), I assisted users concerning questions about how to perform various tasks in different system modules, for example how to register transactions in the accounting module, etc. Since PengVin is built upon Access DBMS my skills in programming and SQL were of good use when I had to perform more advanced troubleshooting to solve cases. I often needed to put together SQL queries to get data from the database that could point me to the root cause of a problem that for example a user experienced while working in a specific module of the ERP system.
