The intersection of engineering and art encompasses my exceptional skill set. I possess a rare juxtaposition of qualities: an accomplished degree in computer science and an innate eye for aesthetics. Fortified by computational theory, I write code that is clean, easy to maintain, and rigorously tested. This software forms the scaffolding for websites and apps that I design to be user friendly and optimized for visibility.As for my technical toolbox: I’ve built everything from static websites to web apps, to Python scripts. I design using graph paper, Figma, Inkscape, and Photoshop. I style using CSS/SCSS/PostCSS, and Tailwind. I’m experienced working with React(+Redux), and have also worked with Angular, Flutter, and Meteor. I can build static sites with Squarespace, Wordpress, or from scratch with Astro. I use version control systems: primarily git and CircleCI. I write scripts to automate workflow. But more importantly, my strength lies in picking up tools quickly: my curiosity drives me to proficiency in new skills in a very short time – and it also drives me to fix old code, as I find debugging to be thrilling and satisfying. My strong social skills are my secret super power that support my technical experience. I'm empathetic, am a good communicator, and have performed professional conflict mediation informed by non-violent communication and restorative/transformative justice principles. I enjoy working on a team and resolving differences among teammates.My other secret asset, which ties together my diverse work history, is my passion for data. I’m constantly compelled to extract meaning from data: to find patterns, to take it apart and structure it, to represent it visually, to build systems where information flows intuitively and predictably. I have a deep love for Airtable; I find organizing events to be deeply fulfilling; I get excited by charts; and I often end up in operations or project management roles.I have a coveted blend of technical skills, creative skills, and social skills, all fueled by a fascination for information systems.
