About Sofia Carranza

My name is Sofia Carranza. I am an enthusiastic, multi-disciplined, Honors College Biology student at LMU, with a proven dedication in STEM, leadership, and service. I am seeking an opportunity to broaden my knowledge in science, as well as a chance to jumpstart my path in a medical career. I am a passionate musician, scientist, EMT, and advocate for women's rights. I love giving my time to my community, especially when working with kids or sharing my talents such as singing. In my school, I am actively involved in Tri-Beta, the LMU Choral Program, Kappa Alpha Theta, the PHAB Lab, and Feed the Hungry. Both my culture and ethnicity play a huge role in my life as I grew up in a bilingual Mexican household. My hope for the future is to become a pediatrician and make an impact.
