Born in Argentina, Sofia Gancedo is a distinguished professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of San Andrés and a Master's Degree in Economics from ESEADE. She also studied Database Management in New York University.Currently, she is Cofounder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Bricksave, the global crowdfunding platform based in London, with investors from 32 countries, more that 30 k registered users and over $40 million invested in properties across the United States and Europe. In 2023, Bricksave was selected as one of the top 20 alternate finance companies in the world by Statista and CNBC. Bricksave focuses on achieving income and long term capital growth and preservation eliminating barriers of entry through technology and innovation. Sofia's career highlights include recognition at Web Summit in 2016, contributing to G20 proposals through the Financial Inclusion Roundtable in 2018 and becoming a finalist for We Exchange in 2019 (selected from 570 applicants), the platform backed by Microsoft and International Development Bank that connects high-growth entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean with mentors and investors. Sofia participated in the World Economic Forum Roundtable in 2020 representing Fintech in Latin America. In 2021, Sofia was awarded the “Tech Entrepreneur" title at the "Globant Women that Build" awards. The following year, Endeavor Argentina recognized her as one of the top ten female entrepreneurs in Latin America. Most recently, in October 2023, she received the "Woman in Innovation and Technology" award from the WEF Argentina. That same year, she was also chosen as one of the 100 Top Innovators in Latin America by Bloomberg Linea. In 2024, Bricksave was awarded "Best Global Fintech and Prop Tech Service Company" by Wealth and Finance International Awards. Also in 2024, Bricksave acquired Macondo (Colombia) and Alte Investments (UK) with a combined 340 MM invested.In December 2021, she began a new journey as an MBA Associate Professor for the Fintech Program at the University of San Andrés, contributing to the development of the technological and financial ecosystem through education. This year, she started lecturing at Universidad de San Andres for the Executive Education program in Personal Finance. She is a contributor of byline articles in financial education to both local and international media, including articles in Forbes, CNN, Bloomberg among others. In 2024 she was interviewed by Oppenheimer Presenta, CNN, as one of the top startup leaders making an impact.
