As a member of the Junior Achievement Alumni Portugal team, I coordinate the marketing department. This role has been challenging but an incredible learning experience. JA Alumni is a global network for young entrepreneurs, dedicated to creating opportunities for students worldwide. We aim to inspire and support the next generation through various events and initiatives, including networking sessions, workshops, and conferences. Our goal is to inform and connect with others, highlighting how biomedical engineering can solve real-world healthcare problems.

As part of this team, we contributed to several initiatives that promoted our course and created opportunities for students. I had the responsibility of coordinating volunteers for activities like the Open Laboratories Day, where we hosted school visits to showcase our university and the biomedical engineering program. Additionally, I helped secure sponsorships for events like Biomedical Week and reached out to companies to arrange internships for our students. These experiences really helped me grow professionally, teaching me how to work well with others, manage people and adapt to new situations.
