Our work has a particular focus on strengthening the capacities, impact, and security of human rights defenders and social organizations at risk. Through a holistic approach to security, I provide rapid response to social organizations and support their work in the Americas.Together with human rights defenders, I identify risks and challenges in the region and act accordingly. I assess and report the human rights situation in the region.

Front Line Defenders provides rapid and practical support to protect human rights defenders at risk.As the Americas fellow, I worked in close coordination with the Protection Coordinator for the region to:◦Support the work and protection of human rights defenders taking into account the specific situations and challenges faced in the region◦Evaluate protection needs, assess the domestic & regional context, and respond accordingly◦Provide research for advocacy at the EU, regional & domestic levels◦Research killings on hrds in the continent for the Memorial Protect of Front Line Defenders

Kristna Fredsrörelsen (The Swedish Fellowship of Reconciliation/SweFOR in English) is a non-violent organization that promotes social justice and peace, general and total disarmament as well as a society without violence.SweFOR works with its partner organization ACOGUATE in Guatemala.
