Sofia is a leader in advancing learning and growth across organizations, teams, people and projects. Her 16+ years of experience in global development programming and organizational development, which spans geographies and diverse cultures across Central Asia, South Asia, East and West Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Canada, has resulted in key achievements such as leading the design and implementation of a new global leadership pilot program in Canada, guiding and executing learning and development signature initiatives over the past three years for staff in Canada and the US, guiding the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems for projects in Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Mozambique, and leading strategy development processes. Her professional journey has taken her from working with youth employment initiatives with the UN to working with a non-governmental organization at the headquarters in Geneva, to an implementing agency in a mountainous town in Tajikistan, to a resource mobilisation and public engagement unit in Canada. Sofia is organized, goal-oriented, and provides strategic leadership while empowering those around her. She has a growth mindset and is constantly striving to take on new challenges, to continue to learn and grow as an individual.Currently based in Nairobi, Kenya and will soon be moving to Amman, Jordan.
