Paton Lab• Led multiple neuroscience research projects combining advanced experimental and computational approaches to understand the neural basis of time perception and reinforcement learning in biological and virtual agents, leading to 2 first-author publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and an award for Best Timing Paper (Timing Research Forum, 2016)• Collected, processed, analyzed, and visualized large behavioral and neural datasets• Identified the relationship between neural and behavioral readouts of time perception using dimensionality reduction, supervised and unsupervised ML tools• Developed expertise in a variety of cutting-edge neuroscience techniques, including in vivo electrophysiology, fiber photometry, optogenetic and chemogenetic manipulation of neural activity, and novel behavioral paradigms.
