Through cross-country consultations and thoughtful program design our team aims to deliver relevant and effective funding solutions to enable healthy and more sustainable food infrastructure projects. The Local Food Infrastructure Fund (LFIF) is a 5-year, $60 million initiative created as part of the Government of Canada's Food Policy for a healthier and more sustainable food system in Canada.

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) at Global Affairs Canada (GAC) exists to connect Canadian businesses with Canadian resources and international networks to enable trade. Throughout my time as as a Trade Commissioner I was able to learn, engage and collaborate with stakeholders including Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and Export Development Canada (EDC) to reach and support underrepresented exporter groups including Canadian women in business and Indigenous businesses. I managed an annual Trade Program Fund of over $1.3 million, working with our network in 49 of Canada's Free Trade Agreement (FTA) markets. As a part of a robust team with a focus on maximizing the use of existing FTAs I took part in the development, production and dissemination of promotional content for CETA, CPTPP, CUSMA, CUFTA, CKFTA and Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement. With the help of our international network, we were able to further assist export ready clients by facilitating Trade Missions both domestically and internationally, across all continents to strategically target and reach potential buyers and partners on a global scale.
