High throughput Experimentation team:- Engineering design of a new mechatronic subsystem to autonomously control and capture data from a commercial specular reflectance analyzer. The aim was to use the device to automate a of laboratory test method. After investigation I found out that we could achieve the same result using a device that was already embedded in our robotic systems, saving on implementation cost and time. A test bench demonstrating the proposed automated test method was delivered. After approval from our stakeholders, a design specification was written and sent to our robotic supplier.Design and Knowledge Management team:- Investigate possibilities to efficiently automate the design of experiment process by developing a software for linking a commercial design of experiment software to an in-house application. A proof-of-concept was delivered and demonstrated successfully.
