CurrentI'm currently working on two projects:1) Horizon Europe ORBIS - Augmenting participation, co-creation, trust, and transparency in Deliberative Democracy at all scales. Project funded by the European Union.2) CIGAIA - Controversies and influence in the war in Ukraine: Study of Argumentation and Counter-Argumentation Using an Artificial Intelligence Algorithm. Project supported by the French National Research Agency.ORBIS responds to the profound lack of dialogue between citizenship and policy-making institutions by providing a theoretically sound and highly pragmatic socio-technical solution to enable the transition to a more inclusive, transparent, and trustful deliberative democracy in Europe. Our contributions consist in building models for automatically mining arguments from deliberation data involving EU citizens, and structuring them by identifying the relationships between these arguments.CIGAIA is positioned within the context of cognitive warfare. It will provide a better understanding of the informational environment of military operations, particularly how arguments influence the progression and outcome of controversies related to international issues, especially the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Our contributions focus primarily on the study of argumentation and counter-argumentation, as well as the identification of the underlying argumentative dynamics in these controversies.
