Sofia grew up in Oporto, attended the Music Conservatory and majored in Communication Sciences with a minor in Cinema and Television. In 2008 she started studying Copywriting at Lisbon Ad School. During that year, she was hired by Y&R Lisbon where she created campaigns for MINI, BMW, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Compal, Jornal I, Galp, Danone and Intermarché. Since 2016, Sofia has worked at VMLY&R Branding as a Brand Voice Copywriter, where she develops the visual and verbal identity for several brands in industries such as finance, sports and retail. She competed twice at the Cannes Young Lions Competition and once at the Eurobest Young Creatives Competition. Her work was also shortlisted at Cannes Festival, New York Festivals and Festival do Clube de Criativos de Portugal. When not on LinkedIn, Sofia never refers to herself in the 3rd person.
