About Sofia Salviani De Boseck
Sofia Salviani de Boseck works with the same passion in furniture design, housing or in a masterplan. She studied architecture in Buenos Aires and holds a Master of Sciences degree in Urban Studies from the Bauhaus University in Germany. Her work focuses on sustainable conceptual design projects in all scales: urban planning, ecological residential architecture and home improvement, small architecture and furniture design.In 2020, her project Modul+ self-sufficient house BauMhaus was chosen as one of the 10 most beautiful wooden houses in the architecture competition "Das schönste Holzhaus 2020". In 2017, another ecological wooden house project of her received the Special Award for Timber Construction.In 2008, her Research project "Children-friendly cities for Germany" was officially accredited Gender Mainstreaming research project by the Equal Opportunities Officer and Equality Advisory Council for the Women’s Promotion Fund. The project included children in a participatory planning process to contribute to the design of public spaces.Sofia Salviani de Boseck was a co-founder of “SK.la Architektur” (2018-2022). Since January 2023 she has her own architectural firm Studio Salviani in Weimar, Germany. She currently works as a licensed architect and urban designer for projects in Germany, Argentina, and Africa. She is also a Member of the board of advisors in the envisioned BEGIN Project “Transition to Blue-Green Infrastructure” (Bauhaus-University and the South African North-West University, Potchefstroom), funded within the “Programme Advocating Women Scientists in STEM” (PAWS) as part of the African-German cooperation.She is always in the search for interpreting the user’s perception and considering their needs to improve custom-made living environments in a sustainable way.
