I am a hard worker, honest individual. I received certification from U C Berkeley Extension Program in Substance Use Disorders. I’m committed to going beyond expectations when working. I’m Fluent in Spanish, both oral, written and interpretation. I’m currently waiting to take the IC & RC exam prep class to help me pass and obtain my license. The approaches vary but I believe that engaging clients using motivational interviewing techniques, meeting them where they are in their recovery with compassion and never, ever judgement. Lastly, I volunteered at Alameda Heath Systems in the Outpatient Psychiatry Unit and at WORLD, Women Organized to Respond to Life Threatening Illnesses. Such as AIDS, Opioid Addiction, etc. Currently I just rejoined TGAPC, The Grant Area Planning Council for Oakland and Contra Costa as a Board Member. My hope is to help and service clients that are fighting addiction disorders as well as a chronic deadly disease.
