At ChangeX, I was the lead software engineer working on building a marketplace for empowering and tracking philanthropic investments. My responsibilities included managing feature requests from the team, conducting planning, developing and testing new features, and technical support for the platform. I also mentored junior team members. I developed and released new features, like an impact reporting dashboard to allow funders to track the impact of their investments easier, a new open grant applications submission flow to diversify the fund distribution, and the ability for social innovators to edit their ChangeX pages.Besides that, I upgraded the Stripe Connect integration to the new API, introducing new requirements to comply with payments regulations in different countries, and worked on the Security and Accessibility assessments as part of our partners' due diligence process. I incrementally reduced the technical debt making it easier to develop in the codebase. Finally, I worked on the localisation of the platform to enter new markets.

At Intercom, I initially joined the Developer Platform team. I worked on multiple different features, from building new integrations to building the Intercom App Store and Developer Hub. I also worked on supporting and maintaining the REST APIs and introducing API versioning. Afterwards, I moved to a product-focused team that helps Intercom customers manage their users in Intercom. I worked on improving the audience editor across all Intercom products, making it easier for customers to segment and target their users. I addressed some data inconsistency issues, which caused confusion. In parallel, I reduced the technical debt of the platform. I also proposed, ideated and built a new way to add users in Intercom, which was a result of my own research and analysis of user needs. This started as a wiggle-week project, and was turned into a full-blown feature and released to customers. The stack I used day to day was mainly Ruby on Rails, Ember.js, and AWS technologies.

During my time at Workday, Ι worked on the Procurement solution, as a member of the Financials Application Development team. I worked with agile scrum methodologies throughout the full software lifecycle, using continuous integration practices, and TDD.I helped build new features on the Procurement area, led the development of a B2B document exchange integration, mentored newer team members to the Workday stack, and conducted interviews for application engineers.

When I moved to the Gaming dpt. I worked on the analysis, design and server-side development of a Remote Gaming Server (REST) and several Game Engines for the Vermantia Online Virtual gaming platform. This included developing the engines and testing at large scale to ensure that the Return to Player amounts were as expected. The main stack included technologies like Java EE, IntelliJ IDE, Linux, JUnit, Apache Maven, Apache Lucene, Tapestry IOC, Jetty Server, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, REST, XML-RPC, Git.

My first months in Vermantia, I worked in the research and development of a rich Media Matrix Suite applications, for video encoding & transcoding.Example tasks included adding a video preview in the designer, improving the UI/UX of the application, visualising the audio and video streams, and adding subtitles preview.The main stack included Microsoft technologies like C#, Visual Studio 2013, TFS, and media technologies like ffmpeg, MediaInfo, libVLC.
