Zander Westbrook Design (formerly Zander Design) provides landscape architecture, planning, and graphic design services for public agencies and nonprofits that manage public trails, parks, and transportation systems as well as graphic design services for individuals and nonprofits advocating for equitable access to safe transportation and nature.

TrailPeople was a California-based planning and design firm that helped communities plan and implement non-motorized access everywhere from busy downtown streets to rural routes and wilderness trails. As a Landscape Architect I was responsible for project design and construction documentation. As principal, I was also responsible for project management, office coordination, and team development.

EinwillerKuehl is a small design firm specializing in innovative public and private spaces. I have helped complete construction document packages for several development projects.

This design and planning firm specializes in public spaces and sustainable design solutions. I was brought in to help their team meet tight deadlines completing construction documents for a large and complex corporate campus renovation and a high school campus improvement project.

The East Bay Parks cover 110,000 acres in 65 public parks across Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. I was responsible for the design and implementation of capital improvement projects throughout the District including: pathway and lighting renovations at an historic park; design and construction of a new segment of the Bay Trail; and rehabilitation of recreation facilities at a former landfill site.

InsideOut and David Thorne Landscape Architect (DTLA) are both small landscape architectural firms specializing in residential landscape design. For both firms I provided CAD and hand drafting support for their projects.

Hart Howerton is a large, interdisciplinary design firm with a focus on land development projects. I joined their team of landscape architects to produce planning and design drawings that conveyed complex design concepts.

Nichols Berman is a very small environmental planning firm focusing on California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation for Bay Area agencies. I managed teams of consultants, researched environmental impacts, and coordinated with public agencies to produce clear and defensible Initial Studies, Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), and Mitigated Negative Declarations.

Summer 2000 & Summer 2001Coordinated all daily operations of a ten member teenage work crew, including conservation, trial, and restoration projects in Oregon and Washington for the USDA Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and The Nature Conservancy.
