Focusing on SDG7 (ensuring access to clean and affordable energy), we work on the policy goal to provide 100 million people in developing countries access to renewable energy by 2030. Using a market-based approach the Netherlands promotes, in close co-operation with other donors and both public and private partners, access to renewable energy services through a range of interventions, including the Energising Development Partnership (EnDev), the Access to Energy Fund (AEF), Climate Investor One (CIO) and the Global Energy Transformation Programme (GET.Pro). In my position at the Inclusive Green Growth department's climate team, my work focuses on climate adaptation within the realm of the Netherlands' international efforts on climate diplomacy.

Supported by the GIZ, I was part of the City Operations Team at the C40 Cities Finance Facility (CFF). The CFF facilitates access to finance for climate change mitigation and resilience projects in urban areas. During my internship, I also conducted a job shadowing at the Climate Resilient Inclusive Smart Cities (CRISC) project in Bangladesh, I did this remotely for the period of 2 weeks.
