My internship at Livia’s Kitchen gave me a high level of responsibility enabling me to develop key organisational skills. My role consisted of providing support to the team gaining an insight into the daily activities of the business. Throughout my time at Livia’s Kitchen, I undertook various tasks including field sales. Working closely with Head of Sales, I assisted in researching the current market identifying new potential stockists. I visited independent retailers with product samples to drive awareness of the brand and encourage further growth. Alongside field sales, I managed samplings at both independent retailers and large supermarket chains including Planet Organic and Whole Foods. Here I was able to engage with existing loyal customers promoting Livia’s Kitchen’s products as well as reaching out to new audiences. The internship allowed me to explore other aspects of the business including recipe development, through which I created exclusive indulgent recipes for their newsletter, online blog and Instagram. I also had the opportunity to write several features for Livia’s Kitchen’s blog that were published. During the internship, I also assisted in planning and organising trade show events and in particular venue dressing, all under extreme time pressures. This enabled me to gain experience in project management and learn the importance of maximising brand impact.
