I am supporting Cepheid in Solna but we are part of Danaher Corporate and also support other Operating Companies of Danaher in the Nordics, such as Cytiva, Hemocue, Radiometer, Molecular Devices, Sciex and more. Role also includes University relations and Employer branding initiatives, as well as process improvements. Cepheid is a company that is dedicated to improving healthcare by developing, manufacturing, and marketing accurate yet easy-to-use molecular systems and tests. In our facilities in Solna / Sundbyberg we develop and manufacture diagnostics tests that improve patient outcome all over the world.

As a Talent Manager, it is my job to find the right person for the right assignment. My focus area has been to recruit consultants to life science companies to the Stockholm area. The tasks include all the steps in the recruitment process from reaching clients, job posting, CV selection, telephone interviews, competence interviews, reference taking, and coaching of candidates prior to the interview with the client. The work includes planning and execution of various events to reach out to candidates and clients as well in educating in employer branding. This has included network meetings, open houses, lectures at universities and participation in labor market days. I have also been involved in the development of skills enforcement for our consultants, such as arranging trainings and career coaching events. I also started an international network within Randstad Life science to increase the opportunities for our consultants to work abroad, and for internal staff to share life science industrial knowledge internationally.

The main task was to support selected vulnerable Youth Entrepreneurs based in the city of Gulu in northern Uganda to connect youth to opportunities for training, mentorship and employment. The placement is done in cooperation with Randstad and is part of a 2 year Citi Foundation funded livelihood project – Youth Employment Enhancement Project-YEEP.Since the project was in early phase my tasks included mostly setting up the project, planning and creating educational material for future volunteers and staff.

As a team leader it was my task to schedule the shifts, support, recruit and onboard new assistants to the team.

The tasks included investigating quality deviations in production processes, training staff in microbiology and environmental hygiene, being a microbiological expert in validation processes, preparing and approving GMP instructions, carrying out continuous improvements using LEAN tools.
