I am a refugee consultant with a bachelor degree in social work, where I in 2016 did four months of my internship in Uganda, and has ever since been back and fort ten times in total. I worked for two years as a environmental therapist at an institution for children and youth from the age 11-14 years, with challenging behavior due to severe traumas in their childhood. My main responsibility was to participate in everyday life of the kids and the youth, and actively work on behavior change using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Then I continued to work as a lead therapist at the same institution for one year, being in charge of coordinating the cooperation with the child welfare and other authorities to ensure the best future of the child, but also evaluating and implement strategies from DBT to ensure change in behavior in 2-3 children. I recently started working as a refugee consultant; coordinating services and authorities to ensure that refugees are being integrated into the society; more specific education, work and language.
