Key responsibilities:• I completed a clinical study in where I investigated the association between metabolic risk factors and development of Type 2 Diabetes in close cooperation with my master colleague. The study was an independent part of a major clinical study and performed according to GCP.• Study protocol, review of literature methodology and ethical considerations. • Applications for the Ethics Committee and the Danish Data Protection Agency and various funding applications. • Recruitment and correspondence with subjects enrolled in the study.• Patient information/Informed consent.• Coordination and implementation of experimental part of the study (Maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), ultrasound of subcutaneous and visceral fat distribution in abdomen and clinical examinations).• Laboratory work.Results:Master Thesis: ”The impact of Abdominal fat distribution and VO2-max on insulin resistance in low birth weight subjects and matched controls – An ultrasound and VO2max study”.
