As a medical assisting extern at Primary Children’s Outpatient Center I will be developing the skills to support physicians and pediatric patients.

IB ambassadors work to support Pre-IB and junior IB students through mentorship and encouragement. Ambassadors help other students feel more confident about their participation in the IB program and help resolve any confusion they might have. Main responsibilities include attending quarterly lunch meetings and IB information nights.

Para Tu Salud is a club striving to help disadvantaged communities learn more about how they can live healthy and happy lives. While we specifically connect with Spanish speaking communities, we hope to connect with as many people as possible. Ultimately, we are advocates for equal dissemination of information. Council members work to:-Plan meetings and service projects-Create articles, brochures, and videos about health-related topics-Edit club member's work and provide feedback-Connect with community centers and local schools*For more information see "projects" section below.

The Historian collects information including—but not limited to—membership rosters, contact information, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, event information, and physical records of events (i.e., pictures, media, etc.). In addition, the historian helps plan service projects and supports other members of NHS.

The Early Childhood Communication Lab (ECCo) is focused on research related to the development of communication and language in infants and toddlers. Research conducted at ECCo is dedicated to increasing knowledge and understanding of toddlers’ language development, with particular emphasis on gestural and linguistic markers for children at risk for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).-Developed and implemented a treatment fidelity to examine the relationship between pointing and language

HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. Council members facilitate this experience by:-planning fun and engaging healthcare activities-helping students prepare for the state competition-developing and carrying out service projects

-Working with children ages 4-11 in a museum environment-Teaching age-appropriate lessons in association with Utah SEEd standards-Helping children feel comfortable and confident learning new material and participating in new activities-Adapting curriculum to meet the needs of children with learning differences-Helping children feel welcome and safe throughout NHMU summer camps and birthday parties-Working with other staff to create a meaningful experience for all children involved with an NHMU program

-Effectively engaged public audiences-Developed professional communication skills-Created a relevant, science driven activity, which was shared with the public-Mentored current interns and helped them with the above processes
