In this internship I am conducting research regarding the topic of student well-being. Specifically, I am doing research about student interactions with each other on campus. When walking around on campus, it is very clear that students avoid interaction with anyone anyone whom they do not already know. They instead busy themselves with their phones or quickly try to find a friend. This is in unfortunate as previous research has shown how beneficial social interactions with stranger can be for one’s mental well-being. Thus, for my internship and thesis, I am conducting research about the barriers students experience to interacting with unfamiliar co-students. In turn, I will design and test an intervention to help reduce these barrriers and promote interaction amongst students.

Adminstrative and organisational support position to help plan, organize, and monitor exams of students at the faculty of Law of Maastricht University.

Administrative function where I was in charge of student communication, rental payments and registration, as well as being a contact point for students and parents with questions about student housing in Maastricht.
