Oversee and drive the legal support for Euroclear strategic & innovative projects - in particular:- setting up of joint ventures (in different business areas) and entering into cooperation arrangements: drafting and negotiation of deal documentation, including IP / organizing regulatory approvals (Belgium, UK, US, etc) / setting up JV company / drafting and negotiation of client documentation and outsourcing arrangements- equity stakes and similar transactions- providing legal advice in regards to innovative projects (focusing on DLT, blockchain technology, FinTech start-ups, etc)Extensive contact with various external counsels and regulators worldwide

Euroclear lead lawyer for the DTCC-Euroclear Global Collateral Ltd joint venture set-up (since October 2013):- Negotiation of all transaction documentation (joint venture agreement - IP agreement - outsourcing agreements) involving different external counsels and DTCC- Set-up of the company (DEGCL) and making the company operational- Drafting and negotiation of the client documentation (collateral management and inventory management services): direct contact with all major US broker dealers, custodians and CCPs.- Extensive regulatory engagement with Belgian (National Bank of Belgium), UK (FCA) and US (SEC and FED) regulators to require approvals and licenses to operate. - From April 2011-January 2015: Head EB Legal Affairs Project Team (Director - 5 to 7 lawyers reporting). The team provides support to all departments of Euroclear Bank in regards to project work. Projects relate to corporate actions, issuer services, funds, credit and treasury projects, collateral management, liquidity, opening new links, tax projects, etc. Personal expertise relates to banking, credit, treasury and collateral management. Most of the projects are international and involve local counsels. -From October 2009-April 2011: Head Banking and Collateral Management Lawyers (Director - 3 lawyers reporting). The team provides support to Credit department, Treasury (GMRA, ISDA, GMSLA) and Liquidity (negotiation syndicated loans and roll-over existing facilities), Banking product management, Collateral Management which consists of Triparty (implementation of structures and project work) and Securities Lending and Borrowing, LoanReach, etc.- October 2006-October 2009: Lawyer in Banking and Operations team: day-to-day assistance for Euroclear Bank in operational fields like New Issues, Corporate Actions, Defaulted securities, Funds, oppositions. Opening of various securities and cash links (Network). Building up experience in Banking (credit, treasury and banking product management) and Collateral Management (3P and Securities Lending and Borrowing).
