In 2022 I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a BA Psychology and minors in Philosophy, Political Science, and Environmental Studies. My minors allowed me to explore other interests in fields, such as ethics or local and global forms of political governance structures. The chance to explore fields beyond my major made me realise that my inherent motivation is to improve quality of human lives at a more structural level. This incentive drove me to continue my studies with a MA Moral and Political Philosophy at Leiden University where I am currently learning how to discuss a variety of complex social concepts and dissect ethical dilemmas. As of September this year I am also putting my unique knowledge and skill set to use as an intern Communications and Partnerships at KinderrechtenCollectief. I am proud to contribute towards their shared mission to protect children's rights in Dutch law, policy and practice.

  From this position I support the coordinator in managing responsibilities and prioritising tasks to ensure smooth working of the coalition. I am responsible for communication within the coalition as well as our communication towards outside audiences, including writing pieces for the website and social media. Working closely together with many partner organisations for a wide range of projects around different topics, such as migration or youth participation, within children's rights. Collaborating with them in organising events for audiences ranging from politicians, aldermen and municipal councillors to children and youth themselves in order to spread awareness and incite change for children's rights in the Netherlands.
