Director Of Nursing
In my role as Director of Nursing, I manage and direct all daily clinical operations at a long term care facility delivering multiple levels of care for a diverse geriatric patient population. In this position, my responsibilities include:» Supervise our Nursing Department staff of 70+, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Nurse Practitioner, and MDS Coordinator. » Providing effective training and ongoing educational opportunities for staff to create a positive, growth-minded work environment. » Overseeing our intake and admissions processes and collaborating with external service providers to ensure continuity of care. » Performing data-driven QAPI measures including chart audits, safety checks, and internal policy reviews. » Resolving conflicts, clearly answering questions and explain care, and maintaining a consistently professional, affirmative demeanor in all interactions with patients and families. » Maintaining compliance with all federal and state standards of care. » Facilitating our patients’ social-emotional needs and quality of life while nurturing active participation in their own health care. » Providing direct bedside care as needed, including wound care, blood glucose checks, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and more. » Thoroughly documenting and explainining care.
