At Sylphar (now Karo) I worked as an international sales manager. Sylphar nv markets innovative products within the domain of oral care and medicated skin care. As a sales manager for Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I worked with my distributors in order to build and expand the local business.

Career switch towards recruitment and selection within the Life Sciences industry. As a recruitment Consultant I put the right person in the right job. Thanks to a particular interest in my clients’ businesses and growth strategies, I developed a strong knowledge of the Life Sciences market and built a broad network of professionals.

I got promoted to the position of Business Manager Hepatitis B BeLux. This covers full responsibility for the product, including: sales, marketing, brand planning, budgeting, projection & forecasts, stock management organization of scientific meetings, brand team meetings..

The Netherlands required at this time a full time headcount to manage country sales and at the same time Belgium obtained reimbursement for Baraclude, so I became responsible for the BeLux market assuming both sales and marketing tasks, this in close collaboration with the international HQ brand team.

I moved on from primary care to specialty care, this in an international context. I was responsible for the Hepatitis B sales in BeNeLux and reported in the UK. I closely worked together with the KOLs in order to obtain reimbursement of the medicine in Belgium, whilst managing country sales and KOL contacts in the Netherlands.

As a next step, I got a position as a medical sales representative with Bristol-Myers Squibb. Similar to the job with Innovex, but more profound: sales, market analysis, territory management and organization of scientific meetings became part of my tasks. Pain and cardio market in the Ghent area.

Via Innovex I entered the pharmaceutical industry. I gained experience working on a project for Pfizer in the Ghent area.

Experience abroad: key point of contact for Jetair customers in Cuba. Welcoming customers, selling excursions, maintaining relationships with different hotels and problem solving were the main tasks.

First sales experience in the retail market, being responsible for the sales of premium brands such as Red Bull, Corona and Carpe Diem in Flanders.
