SCVMC is Silicon Valley's only public hospital with 321 beds. The only hospital in Silicon Valley that will treat anyone, regardless of ability to pay.The NICU is licensed for 40 beds and staffed for 14 beds. It is a Regional Level III facility, the highest designation for intensive care units given by California Children’s Services (one of only 23 NICUs.

I worked in a team at the 36-bed NICU at Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet) that specialized in caring for babies with congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, hemolytic disease and abdominal malformations. The team also took care of premature babies born more than 27 weeks or non-intensive babies for example with transient tachypnea..

Pediatric Surgery Department, Herlev, Denmark

As part of my Pediatric Education course at the NICU ward, I had to take an internship at anotherchildren's ward. This ward was for children age 2-17 and specialized in urology and orthopedic,plastic, and abdominal surgery. Mostly it was one day surgeries. But there were also hypospadiapatients that would stay for at least 5 days or patients with bigger.

Psychiatric Ward (Locked And 5-day Open ward), Brøndbyøster, Denmark

Most of my time I spent at a locked psychiatric ward (12-beds) with patients suffering frompsychosis and manic-depressive patients. The ward also took care of a few patients from prison. The ward also had an open 5-day ward which took care of patients with anxiety problems who needed to get used to taking care of themselves and a job. My responsibilities.
