My responsibility was to analyze the code, understand the issues affecting its operation, and resolve them. The backend of the project is built using .NET Core, with a simple frontend developed in Angular. Additionally, the project communicates with Azure, where some Excel files containing finance department information are stored. I also created diagrams to aid the client in better understanding the implemented functionality. In another project, my role was to participate in migrating specific functionality to a newer project, also built using .NET Core, with a focus on migrating services.I have been involved in migrating/refactoring old applications to simpler and faster ones. The migration of the banking application from a fat client to a web application using .NET MVC involvedseveral steps to ensure a smooth transition. Firstly, we analyzed the current system and identified allthe functionalities that needed to be ported to the new platform. We then created a detailed plan and setof objectives to guide the migration process.The next step was to start developing the new web application using .NET MVC. This involved creatingthe necessary models, views and controllers to match the functionality of the existing fat client. We alsohad to ensure that the new web application was able to interact with the existing database and othersystems used by the bank.Once the new web application was ready, we began the process of testing and debugging. Thisinvolved running a series of functional and non-functional tests to ensure that the new system met all ofthe requirements and worked as expected. We also fixed any bugs that were found during the testingprocess.Finally, we deployed the new web application to the production environment and provided trainingto the end-users to ensure they were comfortable with the new system. I worked with two clients, Vortal and CGD.At Vortal, I worked on a public contract management platform, where I was responsible for fixing smallissues and developing new pages/features. The platform was built on .NET framework and it was agreat experience to work on it.At CGD, another banking client, I provided support for around 140 legacy applications and alsomigrated some of them to more recent technologies. It was a challenging task, as it required me tohave a deep understanding of the existing systems and also be able to develop new ones. I was ableto successfully migrate the applications to more modern technologies, and also provided support to theclient during the process.
